Austrian authorities have identified new suspects who may have been involved in the November murder in Vienna, Reuters reports.

The Austrian prosecution said that a 26-year-old Austrian citizen of Afghan origin had been arrested after

that traces of his DNA were found on the weapon with which the murder was carried out.

Authorities are currently seeking permission from the court to detain the suspect for the duration of the investigation.

The prosecution also said that in addition to that person, another person had been arrested in connection with the murder, but no information about him had been shared.

The Kronen Zeitung also reported that the authorities had searched an apartment in the Austrian capital.

So far, the Austrian authorities have arrested 15 people in connection with the terrorist attack and, in addition to them, the German and Swiss authorities are also looking for those who may have been involved in the murder.
