If our auto suppliers urinated into water bottles, no one would work for us, Amazon said before the US press proved otherwise.
The uncomfortable practice of urinating has been highlighted by Wisconsin Democratic politician Mark Pocan, criticizing the shipping giant for preventing workers from joining unions, the BBC writes.
Just because you give $ 15 an hour, you don’t become a “progressive workplace” while destroying unions and pissing your employees on water bottles.
Pocan said, noting that due to tight transportation times and poor workplace equipment, many drivers often don’t even get a chance to go to the bathroom, so the water bottles remain.
1/2 You really don’t believe in peeing in bottles, do you? If that were true, no one would work for us. The truth is, we have over a million incredible employees around the world who are proud of what they do and have great salaries and healthcare from day one.

This was categorically denied by Amazon, but over time, the Democratic politician’s allegations were in turn backed by company employees.
And the Intercept news site also had a document from the company stating that Amazon management was aware of the situation.
Amazon finally publicly apologized to Pocan, although the glass urination for poor traffic conditions and the difficulty of finding public toilets in rural areas, in addition, many public toilets were closed during the coronavirus epidemic.
In any case, the giant acknowledged that it was a “long-standing, industry-wide problem” for which it “wants to find a solution.”
Pocan was unapologetic and wrote on Twitter that it’s not about him, but about the workers, and perhaps he should start by saying that the company creates the right working conditions for them and then let them join unions.
Sigh.
It’s not about me, it’s about your workers, whom you don’t treat with enough respect or dignity.
Start by acknowledging the inadequate working conditions you’ve created for ALL of your workers, then fix that for everyone, and finally, let them unionize without interference. https://t.co/tdIns0AR66
