About three million pre-cast votes were received for the Senate by-elections in Georgia on Tuesday, with a turnout of:

Democrats or Republicans will run the Senate after President-elect Joe Biden takes office on January 20.

The three million early votes suggest that Georgian voters are interested in either David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler, the Republican senators in office, or their Democratic rivals Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock, going to the Senate.

The Reuters news agency points out that it is enough for a single Republican to win by a hair, but the Conservatives can maintain their majority in the Senate to avoid and override Biden’s provisions. More recently, by the way, the veto of the president of the United States, Donald Trump, which was unprecedented during the reign of the outgoing head of state, was revised.

If the Democratic candidates win, there will be a half to half representative of the two main US parties in the Senate. In this case, the president of the Senate would have the right to vote, so the vice president-elect, Kamala Harris, would get the final destination plus one vote if the board was undecided.

The subsequent vote will take place on January 5 because on the day of the United States presidential election on November 3, when senators were elected in several states, none of the Georgian candidates received more than fifty percent of the vote.

The three million early votes correspond to a third of those eligible to vote in the southern state. Yet more people have already cast their votes than in the 2008 Senate elections, when only 2.1 million went to the polls.

Trump help, no

The outgoing president still described Tuesday’s vote as “illegal and invalid” on Twitter on Twitter.at the entrance, recalling that he said they voted in the presidential elections in the Republican-minded state with votes by letter, which led his campaign team to sue multiple states to destroy the election results. It was not successful anywhere.

However, the call did not encourage his supporters to vote Tuesday, which is not particularly important for the Republican Party.

According to US press reports, Trump may have been under the influence of more extremist advisers, who suggested, among other things, that Republican voters should boycott the election until the state destroys the presidential election result. However, the Republican Party may take a different view of this, as what is at stake is maintaining its influence in the legislature for the duration of the incoming Democratic presidency.

Among the advisers around Trump stands out lawyer Lin Wood, whose name has been the subject of several lawsuits to reverse the result of the presidential elections. On Friday, he explained at length on Twitter that

  • they have focused for too long on Democrats joining an alliance with the “Chinese Communist Party” that steals the election from Trump;
  • George Soros and Bill Gates are also up to their necks in fraud;
  • and they did not realize that the Republicans were also complicit in this.

Lin Wood then marched against senior conservative politicians, including Vice President Mike Pence, whom he accuses of betraying the president by overseeing the ratification of electoral votes in Congress on January 6, in a ceremonial role. Incidentally, Trump supporters also filed a lawsuit to prevent Pence from justifying the electoral aggregation. The lawsuit was dismissed by a Texas attorney.

Lin Wood, presumably also because Trump’s former allies turned their backs on him, wrote:

When the treason arrests begin, Constitutional Judge John Roberts, Vice President Mike Pence, and Republican Senate faction leader Mitch McConnel should be at the top of the list.

Wood later added that if Pence is arrested, he will be jailed and then placed in front of an execution squad.

In any case, in one of his most recent posts, Trump already promises to travel to Georgia on Monday night to campaign alongside Senators Perdue and Loeffler.
