A Russian opposition politician on Monday asked Russian leaders to hand over the clothes he wore during his life-threatening malaise. Alexei Navalny put it this way:
Before the Russian authorities allowed them to take me to Germany, they took off all my clothes and sent me completely naked. Since beginners have found neurotoxins in my body and most likely act through touch, my clothing is a very important test. I demand that my clothes be carefully placed in a plastic bag and returned to me.
The Siberian transport headquarters of the Russian Interior Ministry said on Monday that a preliminary investigation into the case of the opposition politician who is being hospitalized is continuing. As part of this, about 200 people who contacted the politician, witnessed his stay in Tomsk and Tomsk counties, and were fellow travelers on the plane were questioned. They examine videos, comments and interviews published in the media and on the Internet that contain versions of “what happened.”
The Omsk County Health Ministry said the politician’s clothes were available for investigation.
By the way, the Russian opposition politician noted in his publication that the 30-day period for the preliminary inquiry required by law had expired. The HCLU news agency wrote in this regard, citing an informed source, that the preliminary will not be closed until a procedural decision is made on whether the authorities should initiate or reject the criminal process. At the moment, no reason to initiate criminal proceedings has been found, the informant said.
One of the best known critics of President Alexei Vladimir Putin, became so ill on August 20 that he fell into a coma on the Tomsk-Moscow flight and the plane made a medical forced landing in Omsk. According to a German report, laboratories from three countries, independently of each other, have shown that newbies entered the 44-year-old politician’s organization.
Moscow denies having anything to do with what happened and, citing the lack of evidence, did not order a criminal investigation.
