He first pleaded guilty to the murder of Swedish journalist Kim Wall by Danish inventor Peter Madsen. In a documentary aired Wednesday, Madsen, who built the submarine, answered yes to the question of whether he killed the reporter in August 2017.
There’s only one sinner and it’s me
Added Madsen, who is serving his prison sentence, who answered questions over the phone. During the entire process against him, the inventor denied having committed the murder.
Madsen, MTI writes, killed 30-year-old Kim Wall in his own hand-built submarine, which he dismembered and then dumped into the sea in the strait between Denmark and Sweden. Prosecutors said Madsen tortured and killed the journalist, who boarded the submarine to report him, in order to make his unhealthy sexual fantasies come true.
A Copenhagen court found the Swedish inventor guilty of murdering and dismembering Wall and sentenced him to life in prison in April 2018.
The documentary, which aired on Wednesday, is the first in a series of documents called Secret Recordings with Peter Madsen. The series is based on about 20 hours of telephone conversation that a journalist has with the murderer without his knowledge. However, the man later gave permission to use the recordings.
