Index – Foreign – 90 million people have already voted in the United States, participation could reach centuries

So far, more than 90 million Americans have cast their votes in a letter before the official presidential election day, November 3. That represents 65 percent of total attendance in 2016, and the University of Florida estimates the attendance rate is likely to reach a peak in a century, Reuters reported.

Four years ago, the number of votes cast was 138 million. Of this, only 47 million were previously delivered.

The large number of votes cast in the letter and in the pre-voting rooms can be explained by the fact that most people do not want to crowd the crowd on Election Day due to the coronavirus.

Experts say Democrats have a significant numerical advantage, as Republicans have not mobilized after Donald Trump repeatedly attacked the institution of early voting. The president maintains that this form of measurement is abuzz with electoral fraud.

In twenty federal states that publish data on the referendum, 19.9 million registered Democrats, 13 million registered Republicans and 10.1 million nonpartisan voters have voted so far. Exactly for whom, of course, is not yet known.
