A new bridge can be built in the north of Buda, drawing attention to daily.hu with reference to the EU public procurement announcement.
BKK has issued a public tender for the Aquincum Bridge curriculum and related road network.
The planning area runs from Bécsi út, Esztergom to railway line 2, and then along Körvasút, parallel to the Marcheggi bridge, to the introductory section of the M3 motorway.
As you can read in the newsletter, the curriculum consists of two parts. The first is the design of a new Danube crossing (bridge) north of the Újpest railway bridge. The second part is the design of the related transportation network. The aim here is not to create an urban highway, but to create a new collection-distribution circuit that is well suited to the urban fabric.
A person who has obtained net sales income of at least HUF 45 million from the planning of a transport facility and / or the design of a bridge can place an offer in the last three closed financial years.
The deadline for submitting offers is January 4, 2020. Price and quality are also included in the evaluation with a 50-50 weight.
Building new bridges has been on the city’s plans since the early 1980s.
Balázs Fürjes Budapest and the Secretary of State for the Development of the Agglomeration previously said in an interview with Index that Budapest needs two new bridges within ten years, Galvan and Aquincum. Even if someone wants a center with quiet traffic and a livable Budapest, he said. The politician also pointed out that the government had given the capital to design the Aquincum Bridge, so, as expected, they are moving forward with the design.
