A Katalin Novák The latest state support for families announced by the Minister without Family Portfolio in mid-October can still be claimed by those who are raising at least one child and want to renovate, modernize and beautify their own homes.

The support will reimburse half of the renewal costs, up to a maximum of HUF 3 million, in arrears.

As indicated in the decree published last Wednesday in the Hungarian Gazette, the objective of supporting housing renovation is, on the one hand, to improve the housing conditions of Hungarian families raising children, as well as to renew the housing stock and whitening the domestic construction sector.

the Index Since the announcement, he has addressed home renovation support in several articles on a series of tortuous questions about the state program.

– the first part dealt with exactly under what conditions families with children can apply for support and how the application process is carried out;
a the second part clarified it, what legal relationship or employment relationship is required for someone to benefit from the support, as well as exactly on what job we can spend the amount of state support for home renovation;
– a
third article, destined to be final and provided assistance to avoid mistakes that may prevent us from enabling home renovation support.

After the last article in the Index, there are more unresolved issues, including the system of financing the costs of materials and salaries in half. In his latest Facebook video With a concrete example, among others, this is now interpreted by Katalin Novák.

1. Should the renewal be done in one step or is it possible in several steps?

Yes. It is possible that after January 1, 2021, they will renew their apartment in several installments and pay this renovation in several installments to the state. To do this, we have to collect the invoices to the end, then we have to send them last, and then we can claim half the amount, but not more than three million guilders. It is also not a problem if the various renovation works are carried out in several stages.

2. Can bill of materials purchased in 2020 also be counted?

No. Only invoices issued after January 1, 2021 can be accepted as support for home renovation.

3. How to interpret 50-50 percent?

Half of the home renovation support can cover part of the cost of materials and half of the salary.

A concrete example: what if someone spent 1 million HUF on labor and 3 million HUF on material costs, which is a total of 4 million HUF? How much state aid can you get in this case? You can claim half, 2 million florins. In this case, can we live on the full 2 million HUF or can we only use half the material cost and labor fee? The answer is that in this case we can get two million florins. These 2 million HUF will cover the cost of labor up to 1 million HUF, that is, its total amount, and we can account for another million HUF of the cost of the material. If we send an invoice for 4 million, we can get 2 if we send the invoice and we meet all the conditions.

4. Is the early inclusion of chocolate a reason for exclusion from applying for renewal aid?

No. If someone has used chocolates before, you can also bring home renovation support. These conditions are not mutually exclusive.

5. How soon do applicants receive the amount?

The Hungarian State Treasury has 30 days to process the submitted grant application. And after that, the support amount will be paid within 5 days. If rectification is required, the process will still be completed within 60 days. (Citizens once have a chance to fill the void with MÁK.)

What is enough government support for home renovation?

For the renovation of almost a complete house, six million guilders may be enough, half of which can be returned by the state. Our 100 square foot home has been completely renovated for 5.2 million.
