Elon Musk, founder of Tesla, is the second richest man in the world on the Bloomberg list. Musk preceded Bill Gates, the founder of Microsoft, who is now only the third richest man in the world.
The Bloomberg came in second on Monday after it rose 6.5 percent in price in a single day for electric vehicle maker Tesla. This increased Musk’s fortune by $ 7.2 billion to $ 127.9 billion. The assets of Elon Musk, 49, have increased by $ 100.3 billion since the beginning of the year. The Tesla leader was just the 35th richest man in the world last year. Bill Gates has assets of $ 127.7 billion, and first on the list is Jeff Bezos, founder of Amazon with $ 182 billion in assets.
The fourth richest is Bernard Arnault, president and CEO of French luxury company LVMH with $ 105 billion. It is followed by Mark Zuckerberg, founding CEO of Facebook with 102 billion, followed by the sixth Warren Buffett, majority shareholder of Berkshire Hathaway and president and CEO with 86.8 billion.
