In 2017, the Ministry of Human Resources entered into a contract with the legal predecessor of the National Office of Medical Officers for an EU gigaproject, the name of the program is Professional Methodological Development of the Health Care System.

The project could be managed with a non-reimbursable grant of HUF 11.4 billion, which was supplemented by the government with HUF 2 billion. The project also involved the State Health Center, Semmelweis University and the Administrator of the National Health Insurance Fund, with objectives such as renovating the public health system, improving the health of the population, and making patient care more safe.

The additional $ 2 billion was given to build a national health telephone customer service center and an online information center.

The project would now have been closed in December, but due to the coronavirus epidemic, the deadline has been extended so the final closure will be delayed until 2021.

According to the article 24 article, Ákos Hadházy asked the national medical director Cecília Müller about the details of the spending of HUF 13.4 billion. The independent member of Parliament asked about the results of the project so far, the share of salary costs and the companies with which they concluded contracts for more than 1 million guilders.

Ákos Hadházy reported that he had received the reply letter from Cecília Müller last week, but according to him, no substantive answers have been received to any of the questions.

The national chief physician relied heavily on a Constitutional Court decision according to which the data controller is not obliged to collect or systematize data solely for the purpose of fulfilling the data request.

24.hu, who commissioned the project, also contacted Emmit with his questions about it and is awaiting a response for now.
