Disaster management work at the industrial accident site in Dunaföldvár has been completed. Disaster management told MTI on Saturday night:

the hazardous material was decanted from the tank in the afternoon. Chlorine gas leaks have been eliminated, the mobile disaster relief laboratory and fire departments have completed their work on site. Authorities are investigating the circumstances of the accident.

They wrote.

The company previously reported that 4,500 liters of hippo stored in a 6 cubic meter tank had 400 liters of nitric acid mixed in for reasons unknown as of yet, which caused the release of significant amounts of chlorine gas and several people fell ill at the site of plant.

The incident affected 47 plant employees, 28 of whom were taken to a hospital for examination, three of whom are under observation.

Said the company. Pál Győrfi, spokesman for the National Ambulance Service, reported on Friday that thirteen people had suffered serious poisoning and 15 mild poisonings. Symptoms of gas poisoning included sore throat, tearing, coughing, and shortness of breath. The wounded were taken to the Dunaújváros, Székesfehérvár, Szekszárd and Kecskemét hospitals for care and observation.
