16 members of an organization working as prostitutes have been charged with human trafficking, the Pest County Prosecutor’s Office told MTI on Thursday.
The attorney general Ferenc Szabó wrote that according to the indictment, the extensive network that operated between 2013 and 2019 was run by two women, the others were relatives or acquaintances. The organization periodically connected women who had been brought to Germany through various methods: false promises, threats. Most of the time, women without knowledge of the place and the language were involved in prostitution. in leased properties.
The amounts received from clients for services went largely to members of the organization. The exploited women received only a negligible part or none of the money.
The women were also handed over and received as mere valuables by members of the organization. The spiritually exhausted victims were repatriated and exposed to their families. Furthermore, women who voluntarily engage in prostitution are employed on an agreed basis.
The members of the organization earned almost six hundred million florins from their activities. The families of the perpetrators hired fallen people to work around the house, who were gutted, often taking their other income.
The Attorney General’s Office has been charged with multiple crimes classified as human trafficking, forced labor, and classified fencing.
