Private labs were raided before the Christmas holidays due to coronavirus tests, according to information from health companies. The number of patients increased not primarily because everyone was concerned about themselves, but because conscious family members did not want to pass the virus on to their relatives.
They are afraid of their loved ones
Istvánné Szoboszlai, a medical diagnostic analyst at Székesfehérvár, can barely see his work. The expert says that
interest in testing has increased since early December.
In his opinion, it is a really responsible behavior that many people want to make sure before family visits that they can visit their loved ones virus-free during the holidays.
The medical diagnostic analyst highlighted:
any covid-19 test is performed only asymptomatically, which is preceded by a questionnaire and temperature measurement in patients.
Ms. István Szoboszlai highlighted that the most requested test is the PCR test, which shows whether someone is currently contagious.
If the test is positive, the infected person should contact their GP or the company conducting the test should inform the National Center for Public Health.
The healthcare professional reports that amazing results have also been achieved in the previous weeks and sees an increase in the number of positive results among young people and young children as well.
Those who want to go safely before the Christmas holidays and do not have a busy date for the test yet, it is worth asking in several places, encourages the medical diagnostic analyst. Most private labs allow reservations online or by phone, however
almost all dates are already booked.
In the case of a reputable private company, they already indicate on their website: due to congestion, they cannot provide telephone customer support, so they can only be contacted by email.
Employer gift
Another metropolitan healthcare company has an electronic reservation service on its website for testing Covid-19. However, choosing an empty date is not an easy task because
They rarely meet one at a time between 10 minute dates, either early in the morning or late at night.
Kitti Kecskés, managing director of another healthcare company in the capital, reported to the Index that the number of patients in its three shopping centers had barely changed.
In shopping malls, tests are carried out at a specific time, so we cannot speak of any substantial changes here because our filter interface, which has been open for a few hours, has always been full.
However, the change is still notable: Employers ask their employees to take the test as part of occupational health screenings. In other words, as a kind of benefit or gift, they have the opportunity to go home over the holidays to get tested, reported Kitti Kecskés, CEO.
