Csaba Dér, a dual Serbian-Hungarian citizen and the infamous butcher of Csantavér, spoke from jail. The killer, who was hunted across half of Europe, told RTL cameras that he was sorry for the people he had killed, but that is how things work.

The summary of the report says that the killer regrets having killed people, but was in a state of coercion, defending himself in the mafia war. As they said, Csaba Dér was hoping that she could finally speak and say:

I’m sorry for all the people who lost their lives, but just these destructive systems have created such an atmosphere, this is how things work.

– he said, then in connection with the other murder, he said he was killing just to avoid being shot in a colander in Hungary. When asked if he was confident in his release, he said:

I am optimistic, I want to go out.

As we’ve written, Csaba Dér may even receive a real life sentence. An international raid was issued against the man in January 2019 after he shot dead a local mafia deputy commander in Belgrade. Meanwhile, it turned out that a Hungarian murder is also associated with his name: in September 2018 in Budapest, in the XV. He graduated from a small construction district in the district with a former construction contractor, László V., which could have been due to drug distribution conflicts. Csaba Dér is being investigated for a further 12 murders, mostly in the EU, as the method of execution is very complicated.
