The BKV press office wrote about Blikk’s question that the number of quarantined workers exceeded 400. Unfortunately, several colleagues have been lost in recent weeks.

The infection is spreading faster and faster among drivers and dispatchers. According to Blikk, a total of 68 drivers and 10 dispatchers fell from BKV’s garage in Cinkota, which is responsible for bus services only in East Pest.

According to Lajos Dorner, president of the Urban and Suburban Transportation Association (VEKE), vehicles are disinfected daily, but in most cases workers are allegedly receiving or transmitting the virus at terminals and in residential buildings, not in the flights. . “They are small, closed rooms where colleagues can eat, fill out papers and relax between outings,” he explained.

Some BKV employees who asked for their names to be withheld told Blikk that the last time they received masks from the company was in January and that a decade-long hand sanitizer was distributed to them on two occasions, in October and March. They also complained that they were not vaccinated earlier than others despite encountering crowds in the course of their work, except for the workers who needed it most.

In addition to BKV, other transport companies are getting into more and more trouble: only 30 of the Volánbus center in Érd are under quarantine, so recently several flights on local lines have been missed. Furthermore, 30 of its Buddha sites and 50 of its Népliget sites fell into the third wave.
