Not only health workers, but also medical and health science students involved in advocacy can use public transportation across the country for free.
Tamás Schanda announced on his Facebook page Wednesday morning. The Vice Minister, Parliamentary and Strategic State Secretary of the Ministry of Innovation and Technology highlighted in the entry:
all support must be given to those fighting the virus on the front lines.
According to the government decree published in Magyar Közlöny, all interurban and local public transport can be used free of charge, without the purchase of a ticket, by healthcare workers specified by law, as well as students who participate in medical and health science training involved in controlling the coronavirus pandemic.
For all this, employees only need a document proving their identity and a certificate issued by their employer, and students also need a certificate from their institution of higher education. The form is available as an annex to the decree in the recent Hungarian Gazette.
