The new coronavirus infection (COVID-19) was detected in 6,393 new Hungarian citizens, increasing the number of infected people in Hungary to 198,440. Most of the 135 deaths are chronic elderly patients, bringing the death toll to 4,364, according to data released by the government information portal on Friday morning.
The number of people recovered increased to 52,126 and the number of actively infected people was 141,950. Twenty-one per cent of those actively infected, 24 per cent of the dead and 26 per cent of those recovered were from Budapest. 7,591 coronavirus patients are hospitalized, 647 of whom are on respirators.

The 135 deaths represent a new peak in the number of deaths in Hungary in 24 hours. The record so far was 12 deaths on November 20. 6393 was the second most infected after November 15, 6495.
The operating court currently ordered additional breaks in 386 kindergarten groups (13%) and 221 kindergartens (8%), as well as 121 primary schools (5%), 634 school classes (25%) and 63 primary schools ( 2.5%). digital curriculum.
The number of identified infections also appears in ambulances, in filter buses and is analyzed among hospital workers through rapid tests. Cumulative test results for specific groups among daycare, kindergarten, school and social workers are expected early next week.
