Due to the looming cold front, most of the country will have to prepare for Thursday’s thunderstorms, but in some places it can even be as high as 30 degrees Celsius.

According to the danger signal of the National Meteorological Service, a first level alert was issued for the entire country, except for the counties of Csongrád – Csanád, Békés, Hajdú – Bihar and Szabolcs – Szatmár – Bereg.

Through Thursday afternoon, (non-violent) thunderstorms can occur near the western border and in some places in the northeast. In the evening, at night, more storms may form in some places in the central part of the country, and then the rain in the country ceases at night. Thunderstorms can be accompanied by high winds, heavy rain, and possibly small grain ice in some places.

On Thursday, it is forecast to be usually between 13 and 18 degrees during the coldest hours. Sunrises can be a little cooler in the northern valleys and milder in the larger cities. During the day, the air heats up to 25-31 degrees, but it can be a bit cooler in Sopron too.
