Forty thousand people are scheduled to be vaccinated in the coming days, National Medical Director Cecília Müller said at a briefing of the operative tribe on Wednesday. He said that the oldest are vaccinated with the help of GPs with the Moderna vaccine.

Those who are left behind, do not despair, they will pass

– Cecília Müller emphasized, adding that we have the filtered lists, everyone will receive information about whether they need to be vaccinated at the GP’s office or at the vaccination site.

The operative tribe has published a compilation specifically to inform the elderly, which is recommended to study. Anyone who still has a question can contact their county GP or vaccine, either about the vaccine or logistics, the medical director said.

According to daily data, a new coronavirus infection (Covid-19) was detected in 1,048 new people, increasing the number of infections identified in Hungary to 370,336. There were 83 deaths, mostly elderly, chronic patients, so the number of deaths increased to 12,739. The hospital treats 3,697 coronavirus patients, 269 of whom are on ventilators. The number of people cured is also constantly increasing, currently 272,284 people, the number of actively infected people has decreased to 85,313 people.

According to the medical director, the stagnation in the number of deaths suggests that even if the vaccine does not fully protect against infection, it does from the tragic outcome of the disease. He said that it is important to implement the vaccination plan step by step, the available vaccine is used almost immediately by the Hungarian health system. Cecília Müller highlighted:

75,807 people have already received their second vaccination.

Cecília Müller also reported that

the Ministry of Human Resources has authorized the return of benefits overnight to medical care.

As he said, everything except oral surgery and ENT can be used, subject to reservation.

Anyone about to undergo surgery will need a negative PCR test and a rapid antigen-based test no longer than 72 hours on the day of surgery. Since health workers also work in hospitals and vaccination centers, the amount of benefits for a day is limited

Said the medical director. According to the Index, Miklós Kásler ordered the suspension of deferred surgeries as of November 7, 2020 in order to guarantee the continuous care of an increasing number of patients with coronavirus.

Cecília Müller told a press conference that a total of half a million doses of Pfizer and Moderna vaccines have so far been received in Hungary.

Twenty thousand people have enough Sputnik V vaccine available. The Russian vaccine is not the same as the other vaccines, as the two doses are different. Experts say that the Russian vaccine provides more than 90 percent protection against the virus.

Cecília Müller highlighted. When asked what sanctions non-waiting GPs can expect, the medical director said he is confident that he will not have such a colleague, as vaccination, among other tasks, is a basic task for GPs. As you said, who you consulted with, they really want to be able to start vaccinating their patients, and patients also prefer to get the vaccine from their own GP.

The GPs have received the list, but there may be a problem on the day of vaccination, in which case it will be passed to the next patient on the list.

Cecília Müller said. He said a drug called bamlanivimab was most effective in the early stages of the infection. Hungary has obtained 7,000 doses and 300 doses will be administered in the first round at the central hospitals in Korányi and South-Pest.

Cecília Müller said:

So far, infection with the British mutant has been detected in 22 cases in Hungary. A patient infected with a South African or Brazilian mutant has not yet been identified.

Kristóf Gál, spokesman for the ORFK, said that in 137 cases measures were taken for violating the use of masks, while 314 people were treated for violating the curfew.
