An illuminated restaurant in Budapest III. district in the afternoon – a spokesman for the Budapest Disaster Management Directorate informed the MTI. Máté Kisdi said that due to the fire, the Szentendre road in Csillaghegy was closed.

Firefighters have already put out the flames and are doing after-work at the site at night. Disaster management carried out mobile laboratory measurements in the surrounding streets, but did not detect concentrations of pollutants harmful to the health of the population.

The Budapest Transport Center closed the Szentendre road between Mátyás király út and Szent István utca for the duration of the vaccination.

According to a disaster response spokesperson

the fire broke out in a single-family house integrated with a restaurant.

When firefighters arrived, the building burned about 300 square feet with multi-meter flames.

The units prevented the fire from spreading, extinguishing it with seven jets of water, with a total of 47 people, told Index Máté Kisdi, a spokesman for the Budapest Disaster Management Directorate.

It is not yet known what caused the fire and if personal injury occurred.

Máté Kisdi informed MTI that a man on suspicion of smoke poisoning had been called to an ambulance.
