Gábor Máté can manage the József Katona Theater in Budapest and Adél Kováts the Miklós Radnóti Theater for another five years according to the decision of Mayor Gergely Karácsony on Wednesday, while Roland Szabó, managing director of the Budapest Zoo and Botanical Garden.
Gergely Karácsony also made Gábor Máté and Adél Kováts for another five years with the decision of the General Assembly of the Capital City,
elected as executive for the period between February 1, 2021 and January 31, 2026.
Gábor Máté has directed the József Katona Theater since February 1, 2011 and Adél Kováts has directed the Miklós Radnóti Theater since February 2016.
Roland Szabó, maintaining his current indefinite civil service status,
From January 1, 2021 to December 31, 2025
appointed Gergely Karácsony CEO of the Budapest Zoo and Botanical Garden.
Roland Szabó became the zoo’s chief operating officer in November 2019, then Director General Miklós Persányi led the institution as Acting Director General since his resignation in February 2020.
