Here’s another gown-wrapped true-story movie courtesy of the popular streaming platform. But how much of the story is a fairy tale, how much is the garrison next to it, and how much is the painful truth? According to a series of documents compiled from the interviews (i.e., Allen-Farrow family members, acquaintances, friends, lawyers, doctors, and other professionals involved in the case), Woody Allen had sex in 1992 and even years before. Mia Farrow was already an adult, adopted, with her Korean-born daughter, Soon-Yi Previn (whom she also married in 1997), and that same year she sexually abused her then-adopted seven-year-old daughter, Dylan Farrow.
Although Soon-Yi is still with her husband after nearly thirty years (so she probably didn’t experience what happened to her family as trauma), 35-year-old Dylan still suffers from the events she experienced to this day.
