Virus here or there, the film festival started in Venice

The film by Kornél Mundruczó and Lili Horváth is also in competition.

The 77th Venice International Film Festival kicked off this week, the first major film show to be shown since the coronavirus epidemic. So the Venetian film pattern did not reach the Cannes line, but the precautions also apply here: in principle, it is mandatory to keep the mask and distance in theaters, which of course is not the case for all stars . Let’s go.

Kornél Mundruczó’s seventh feature film tells the story of the aftermath of a tragic home birth in Boston. As the grief of the young mother (Vanessa Kirby) shakes her entire family, the woman chooses her own path in which she not only learns to live with her loss, but can also move on. Kornél Mundruczó and his co-creator, Kata Wéber, consider the play to be their most personal film to date. The producers were also joined by Oscar-winning director Martin Scorsese as executive producer.

In the competition program, the movie was scheduled for 16:30 today, so now the Hungarian audience is really excited.
