Not only the story affects us but the atmosphere of the movies. Filming is the perfect schedule for the rest of the holiday cookies and for a home start year, or perhaps a private New Year’s Eve party. Especially when we consciously look at creations that reflect our current state.
In those moments, at the beginning of the year, it is good to rethink the previous year and recharge.
We have brought ten films that give the momentum:
1. The Advantage of Being an Outcast 2012
A story for adults based on the boy of the protagonist finding friends, willing to know himself, open up to his environment and, at the same time, process the tragedies that have happened to him in the past. A movie that even Emma Watson is quite adept at, manifested in the fact that she doesn’t just gasp for air and frown unnecessarily. But if it weren’t, Logan Lerman, Ezra Miller, Nina Dobrev and Paul Rudd would be brilliant too. They carry everything on their back. It’s a well-written story, after which one feels like a joy stepping out of a race car.
2. Camino 2010
The protagonist, Tom (Martin Sheen), travels to the pilgrimage of Santiago, also known as El Camino, for the ashes of his dead son. Tom doesn’t know anything about this journey, but his son died on this pilgrimage, he feels that he owes him a lot for walking on it. In addition to physical effort, the Path also affects the soul because it also travels an inner path.
3. 8 miles (8 miles) 2002
This movie is a timeless classic, but not only for those who are interested in the world of hip-hop or listening to rap twenty-four hours a day. The movie is now an adult, but it is full of life as it was in its childhood. It’s a true reboot movie, especially since the character has never been able to throw a six and has spent most of his life in the beginning. It is very liberating to see the character played by Eminem meet and confront himself.
4. Sunny Page (Silver Linings Playbook) 2012
Love story of two people with mental disabilities. But it’s about more than that. Starring Pat Solatano (Bradley Cooper) lost everything. Work, wife, mental health. After a few months of psychiatric treatment, she is forced to move into her parents’ house and rebuild. He then meets Tiffany (Jennifer Lawrence), who also sees the world differently from the average person. By helping each other, they put themselves back in order.
5. Good Will Hunting 1997
It often happens in life that one person does not trust himself, but another person sees something special in him. The only question is, are you willing to accept a helping hand? Especially if you know that hands that have come this far have pushed you back into the pot? Are you willing to hold on to it and use all your strength to get out of the well? Robin Williams and Matt Damon can display seemingly clichéd scenes to regain their originality. A moving film about an outburst, friendship, love.
6. Rescue Expedition (The Martian) 2015
If you are Matt Damon, you cannot miss this movie either, where the life of a single person is as important as saving the world. It’s good to see that. Mars is stuck on the ingenuity of astronauts and also how and why his earthly comrades don’t give up on him. The Rescue Expedition is about working together and making everyone matter. But the most important thing is that if you are left alone, don’t look at it because you are fertilizing the potatoes you are eating.
7. Modern times 1936
It is impressive that an 85-year-old film also draws lessons, shows human truths so fundamental and timeless that it makes sense to see in 2021 as well. After Charlie Chaplin’s last silent film, the viewer is speechless. Timeless, exhilarating, at least once in a lifetime to be seen. The movie only knows anything if it’s still in the top ten list.
8. The Shawshank Redemption 1994
Perhaps there is no one who has not seen or known the movie. But 2020 was a year we had to get rid of. This movie teaches us to understand the essence of hope and also shows how all of this can lead to our goals.
9. Sabrina 1954
A fun and melancholic story with the greats of the time. Starring Audrey Hepburn and Humphrey Bogart. This movie also highlights that if we really want something, if we really want to achieve something, we tend to press our face against the window glass to get a closer look at what we want. We just don’t expect to see the big picture that way. Nor would it be that if something else fit us much more, not to mention that we breathe the bottle so much in the great look that we see what we are looking for flawless. Sometimes it pays to get away from everything and everyone to see things in a new light.
10. The Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind 2004
Normally, a movie that is not monotonous will probably always have a different meaning. The basic story is imbued with meta-thoughts, that is, we have to see, not talk about it. In the past, probably no one thought chemistry could work between Kate Winslet and Jim Carry, but since then it has been weirder than the actors. actually they were not found. A beautiful, moving movie tears the soul into small pieces at a time and then puts it together. We can forget things, but we cannot fool our emotions, our heart.
