Sound engineer László Nemes, a well-known and legendary Hungarian rock background musician, has died. He was seventy-three years old.

László Nemes also worked with Miklós Fenyő, Neoton and LGT, and together with Omega singer János Kóbor built the country’s first private studio, Omega Studio. He has performed at various foreign festivals such as Scorpio in the United States and has toured Europe with Omega at the peak of his success. After the regime change, he worked alongside Republic and Beatrice. His experience was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2017 Phonogram Gala. Miklós Fenyő first reported his death on Facebook on Thursday.
