Hungary’s song selection program again this year, together with the public, sought out the Hungarian hit of the year. The overall winner was the song One Word by a group called Caucasus. The first four finalists will be according to this year’s jury.

The performer of the song of the year will receive a cash prize of 10 million guilders, as well as a recording, a video clip and the Petőfi music award. According to the jury’s points, the other three productions in the top four will be enriched with five or five million florins. The other four finalists can return home with one million florins each, which they can use to further their careers.
The 10th anniversary of the show stopped a series of surprises, one of which was that more people than before, a total of 40, were able to present their songs.
The compositions were presented in dozens of four selections, of which a total of twenty productions reached the two semifinals.
