There were 4,177,504 people infected with the coronavirus epidemic worldwide, with 286,330 deaths and 1,456,209 recovered, according to a Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Tuesday morning, reports the MTI. The day before, there were 4,102,849 infected, 282,719 deaths and 1,411,619 recovered.

The number of diagnosed cases does not accurately reflect reality, as the number of tests is more or less limited in each country, and the criteria for accounting also differ.

  • Most deaths from the SARS-CoV-2 virus-induced disease called Covid-19 occur in the United States, where there were 1,347,881 confirmed infections, 80,682 deaths, and 232,733 survivors.
  • In Spain, there are 227,436 infected, 26,744 deaths and 137,139 recovered.
  • In the UK, the number of people infected is 224,332, 32,141 have died from the disease and 1,015 have recovered from it.
  • In Russia, the number of infected people was 221,344, the number of deaths in 2009 and 39,801 of those recovered.
  • In Italy, 219,814 people were infected with the coronavirus, 30,739 were fatal, and 106,587 recovered from Covid-19.
  • In France, 177,547 people were infected, 26,646 were killed and 56,388 were recovered.
  • In Germany, there are 172,576 infected, 7,661 dead and 145,617 recovered.
  • In Brazil, 169,594 are infected, 11,653 are fatal and 67,384 are recovered.
  • In Turkey, 139,771 infections were registered, 3,841 were fatal and 95,780 recovered.
  • In Iran, there are 109,286 infected, 6,685 deaths and 87,422 recovered.
  • In China (excluding Hong Kong and Macao), 84,011 cases were recorded on Monday morning. The death toll remains 4637 and the number recovered is 79 198.
