A fire broke out Tuesday night at the 190-foot-tall Abbco Tower in the city of Sardzsa, UAE, MTI writes in the news from the Dubai-based news website Khaleej Times.
A video posted on Twitter makes it clear that the entire building is on fire.

The fire brigade marched onto the scene with great force and managed to put out the flames shortly after 11 a.m., Hungarian time, but the building was completely burned. According to field reports, drones were also deployed to extinguish the fire.
The 40-story, 48-story skyscraper and surrounding buildings were evacuated. Local residents of the house told local news portals that flames erupted on the 10th floor around 9 p.m. local time. It is not yet known what may have caused the fire.
No reports of victims have yet been received, Gulf News Dubai writes about nine minor injuries, citing Sharjah’s chief of civil protection. Witnesses said that at first a small fire was burning and by then many had already left the building.
Much of the building was used for housing, it contained rental housing (according to a real estate agency, they now had rental apartments for between $ 4,800 and $ 12,000 a year).
Construction of the Abbco Tower began in 2005 and opened in 2006, with a total area of over 30,000 square feet.
MTI recalled: A skyscraper fire has occurred multiple times in the United Arab Emirates in recent years.
The city of Sardzsa is the third largest settlement in the Emirates, along with its suburbs, a metropolis of over two million, which has almost merged with Dubai. The Abbco Tower, for example, is just over ten kilometers from the Dubai International Airport.
