At least 25 bodies were found in a mass grave on a farm in the state of Jalisco, Mexico. Police also found five bags on an abandoned farm in a town called El Salto, presumably with additional human remains.

Authorities came out to receive an anonymous report Thursday, and local police first found two hawks and a few more bones at the scene. Authorities and experts from the Mexican city were also involved in the case, which had already found the remains of at least 25 people.

The Mexican government said in a statement in January that 61,000 people are missing, the vast majority of whom are victims of the drug war. According to official statistics, last year more than 35,000 murders were committed in Mexico.
