More solidarity actions were carried out together with SZFE professors and students protesting against the reorganization of the University of Cinematographic Arts and Theater.
In addition to the protesters, some students from the Moholy-Nagy University of Arts and the Hungarian University of Fine Arts were also standing with ribbons. (MKE was fenced in the same way the day before.)
More than a hundred students and alumni of the Faculty of Theater and Film of the Târgu Mureş University of the Arts and the Babeș-Bolyai University of Cluj-Napoca also assured the SZFE of their solidarity. They wrote: “We believe in university autonomy, which is seriously violated by the way the SZFE reorganizes itself into a founding institution. We stand up for our friends and colleagues! We support each other! “
Meanwhile, a cord ribbon was symbolically placed in the window of the Katona József Theater.
The presidency of the Hungarian branch of the International Association of Art Critics AICA, a professional organization of Hungarian art critics, also expressed solidarity. They wrote: “The presidency is in solidarity with the professors and staff of the university who are leaving and who remain. At the same time, it protests against the methods with which the government tries to guide the change of the university model. Protest against the denigration and blackening of the students, teachers and elected leaders of SZFE by the media and the members of the new board of directors ”.
The protesters against the transformation of the SZFE want 5,000 people to come back to life on Sunday afternoon to bring a document on their principles to Parliament. On Friday afternoon, a demonstration will be organized in Vas Street, and civilians, lawyers and instructors from MOME from Pécs will also support SZFE.
