As we reported, Robert Lewandowski was named Player of the Year at The Best FIFA Football Awards gala on Thursday night. Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo were the other two nominees, and the three attackers joined the award ceremony via live video. However, Ronaldo couldn’t hide his emotions – he seemed a bit upset when it turned out that the Bayern Munich star was gaining recognition.

As team captain, all three players were able to vote for the best. Cristiano Ronaldo considered Lewandowski, Messi, Kylian Mbappé as the best, in Lewandowski Thiago Alcántara, Neymar, Kevin De Bruyne were in the top 3. In Lionel Mess Neymar won, followed by Mbappé and Lewandowski.
