Wear OS has yet to run on such a rugged device.
Introducing its first rugged smartwatch from Casio, the company recommends the G-SQUAD PRO (GSW-H1000) model primarily for athletes and regular hikers. As a member of the G-Shock series, it is highly resistant to shock and vibration, and is waterproof up to a pressure of 20 bar, so you can even dive to a theoretical level while wearing it.
The interesting thing about the watch is that it has two displays stacked on top of each other: using only the top monochrome panel and ignoring the smart features, the G-SQUAD PRO can last up to a month, while the color panel can last for a day and medium with “normal” use on a single charge.
Unsurprisingly, the smartwatch is capable of monitoring dozens of activities, sleep, stress, heart rate, and blood oxygen levels, and it also has a built-in GPS.
Pricing in euros or guilders for the Casio G-SQUAD PRO, due to launch in the next few weeks, is still unclear, but the manufacturer will ask for £ 599 gross, a good 254,000 guilders in the UK.
