Wolverhampton defeated Arsenal 2-1 in the tenth round of the English Premier League. The match, on the other hand, is especially memorable due to the injury of Mexican striker Raúl Jiménez. According to the minutes, the prestigious game against Arsenal lasted 15 minutes for Raúl Jiménez, but it actually ended earlier. The Mexican attacker headed a few minutes earlier, looking at the ball, with David Luiz, the local Brazilian defender. While Luiz was able to continue the game in a spectacular turban, but after a few minutes of grooming, Jiménez’s grooming dragged on and sparks of despair reappeared on his teammates’ faces over and over again. After the turn, Arsenal fought in vain, despite their almost oppressive dominance, they could not equalize.
Arteta’s team scored at least one goal in their eighth consecutive championship, something that hadn’t happened to the London team since 2007. What could be an even more depressing piece of information is that not only defense but attack doesn’t want to work now either: Gabriel , who takes the Wolves goal, is second on the home scoreboard with two goals, only French wedge Alexandre Lacazette could have been more successful in the first ten rounds (3).
With Wolverhampton’s victory, they moved up to sixth place in the table, with Arsenal falling back to fourteenth.
Nuno’s team won for the first time in Emirates history, which was delivered in 2006, but, as expressed by the visiting team’s Twitter channel at the end of the match, there is something more important than football: in this case, Jiménez is really being okay.
