András Lénárd, the other interest of the head of the Szekler company, which produces banned Csíki beer, receives a grant of HUF 1.7 billion from Hungarian public funds to establish a beer skating factory in Szeklerland, alongside the existing brewery, writes Magyar Hang.
The Pro Economica Foundation, which implements the economic recovery program, wrote to the newspaper that Lénárd’s company, Pityóka Gyár Srl., Is making an investment of almost 4.5 billion forints in Harghita county, due.
The article also reveals that Lénárd obtained a diplomatic passport for himself in 2019.
There are some interesting events in Lenard’s past since he was arrested by the American police in 2001 while trying to smuggle three women across the border between the United States and Canada. On a $ 50,000 bond, the court only allowed him to defend himself on parole, but that did not happen, he fled from the United States judiciary.
And this was not the only messy case, because it emerged that he may have been the instigator of a robbery at the office of the Hungarian company of Csíki Sör in Bajcsy-Zsilinszky. In May 2018, tens of millions of forints were taken from this office’s safe, and police said the thief may have had a key, as there were no signs of violent intrusion into the lock and door. Back in June 2018, the police questioned a suspect, P. I., a Romanian citizen who lived in a settlement in Pest County, who said this during his interrogation:
I argued with Andrew about the key there and told him which room to go in and stretch out the closet to go in the morning. He will be abroad and I will extend this closet, there will be the money, I will take it because he is angry with his brother-in-law, there is a dispute between them.
However, the investigation has not advanced for two years.
