György Simonka: Orbán just asked how he could handle it

It begins on October 13 at the Metropolitan Court György Simonka Criminal case. The Fidesz Member of Parliament and his associates are accused by the Central Investigative Prosecutor’s Office of committing criminal fraud, embezzlement and forgery in a particularly conspiratorial criminal organization. According to the indictment, the value of the damages reaches 1,400 million HUF.

The Pest Guys had a lengthy interview with György Simonka, who said, among other things, that the investigation against him was illegal, because after his immunity was waived and he was suspected in the fall of 2018, he presented many submissions to the prosecutor’s office. With these, Simonka wanted to show that they were investigating on the basis of false documents and testimonies, but the prosecution did not accept the motions. He added that the indictment was actually based on false expert opinions and the statements of two people who had made a deal, one of whom had previously been involved in the Vizoviczki and Buda-Cash cases, but ended up in the dock. In any of the procedures.

The Fidesz politician said his goal was to persecute him

and not for a moment did they consider the facts that spoke in my favor. I know for a fact that no person has ever been harassed saying that if he “confesses to a person protected by immunity”, he can escape the process. By circumventing the laws, they tried to put me in a position to end up hanging my head on their office wall as a trophy. All this to get another star, they can get even higher rank.

Simonka claims that in 2017, when he was still defending his immunity, they sent him a man with a hidden and wired camera, who invited him to a meeting and “directly asked him questions with which he tried to provoke him into saying something incriminating.” The politician sees that with this action they tried to create a situation in which he could be arrested, since there is no immunity in the event of an event.

I also have information that they put my face on the KNYF wall and then threw it with paper pancakes and made bets on who will hit my head, who will be the prosecutor who will hunt my head. This is anything but an impartial procedure

– Simonka remarked in the conversation, who also revealed what the Prime Minister said when the criminal case was discussed between them:

He just asked me how he could handle it. That was in February. I told him he was getting better now. Also, the truth that gives me strength is that after many years of unilateral attacks, I finally have the opportunity to prove my innocence and speak. Of course, I still have to be careful not to accidentally influence the procedure with my words.

As previously reported, György Simonka said in a recently leaked audio recording that the indictment was drawn up by prosecutors who had already been fired. He also kept this statement in conversation.

While György Simonka was confronting the prosecution with serious statements, the PestiSrácok contacted the authority. Geza Fazekas, a spokesman for the Attorney General’s Office responded to the portal:

I would like to inform you that the court found the charge to be legal at the preparatory hearing held. Of the prosecutors who prepared the indictment, “no one was fired” from the prosecution. No one has lost their job over the case. The court will decide a carefully prepared 158-page indictment that contains extensive evidence.
