According to Gergely Karácsony, the climate strategy has defined the steps to be taken in the next decade to substantially reduce harmful emissions and mitigate the effects of climate change.

The objective of the Dezső Radó Plan is to serve as a guiding principle in the development of programs and projects related to the capital’s green infrastructure, he wrote.

The mayor stressed that in addition to the multiple adverse effects of the epidemic, he drew attention to the fact that we cannot continue living as we have been doing. The ever-accelerating world, globalization, is destroying our planet and will have unpredictable consequences, he added.

“Climate change is already affecting the functioning of the capital, so it will be a primary consideration in all investments and projects to protect the environment and existing green spaces,” said Gergely Karácsony.
