Russians do not have enough capacity, vaccines arrive from the EU and China
According to Gulyás, it seems reasonable that the Member States ordered vaccines jointly within the Union. A large purchase is commercially more important to vaccine manufacturers, cheaper in price according to market logic. From this, the fact remains: in both the United States and the United Kingdom, and in China, vaccines were available and vaccinated earlier than in the European Union.
The government has also negotiated with Russians, Chinese and Israelis. 6,000 Russian vaccines were also received over the weekend following talks with Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó, but the vaccine is still in the experimental phase for months, not licensed. Russia does not have enough production capacity. We are happy to participate in the trials, but the vaccines may arrive en masse as part of the acquisition from the EU or from China.
There will be no quarantine obligation, employers will not be required to vaccinate
“It is true that there will be such rules, not only in Hungary, but everywhere in Europe,” Gergely Gulyás said before Christmas on whether cinemas, theaters or festival organizers could require only guests vaccinated against the coronavirus. to be.
In an interview with atv.hu, he said that the government has not made such a decision, but if someone has been vaccinated, the quarantine obligation does not make sense at the border crossing. When asked if the government is planning a binding regulation to regulate the issue and if employers will be able to force their employees to get vaccinated, he replied that vaccination cannot be mandatory. Airlines are expected to have uniform European regulations. The question is what the state has to do with this. According to the minister, there will be a uniform regulation when the vaccine is available to all. It is expected that in the first half of the year, at best in the first trimester, there will be enough vaccines available so that everyone who wants to can get vaccinated.
The Spanish government has announced a list of those who will refuse to be vaccinated. According to the politician, the Hungarian government is not preparing for such inclusion. Regarding the vaccine passport, however, he explained that there must be some kind of authentic proof.
