Sebastian Vettel ran the last Ferrari race of his career at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, the moments after the descent were about the emotional farewell.
Vettel also said goodbye to his teammate Charles Leclerc, and the two drivers exchanged helmets as a show of mutual respect. Leclerc gave the German a helmet in honor of Vettel at the end of the season, who in return surprised his Monaco with a helmet to which he wrote a message.
“To Charles, you are the most talented driver I have encountered in 15 years of F1. Don’t waste it. But make sure you do what you do to be happy and smile. Thanks for everything!”
