Not counting the Hungarian A-League playoffs, so far only in the D-League has the final pair been formed in next year’s European Football Championship qualifiers: Georgia and North Macedonia will battle for the European Championship quota for the “little ones”. In the League B and C playoffs, all the semifinals culminated in overtime.

D-LEAGUE – IN THE FINAL: GEORGIA-NORTH MACEDONIA

The group battles of two years ago were won with five wins and a draw up front. Georgian Tomike Okriasvili received a penalty in the 7th minute with a penalty and sell-out fight in Tbilisi, and it turned out that this goal was enough for him Belarusians to get over.

The Georgians will also play the final at home, their rival North macedonia will be an advantage on Thursday night in Skopje with an own goal Kosovo against. The guests were at least as lucky in the match. Four minutes later, Darko Velkoszki confirmed his mistake before the equalizer: after Enisz Bardi’s free kick in Újpest, Rijeka’s defender headed defensively into the goal.

No more goals were scored in the second half, North Macedonia, in their starting line-up with Boban Nikolov and Viszar Muszli of Fehérvár, replacing Kire Ristevszki of Újpest, kept their slim lead.

As you know, in the first round of the Nations League, the 16 weakest teams in the European classification were in the D-League, and one of the top four of the group (Georgia or North Macedonia in the final) will be there in the European Championship.
