Petr Kellner went skiing, but his plane crashed into a glacier in Alaska.

Petr Kellner, 56, one of the richest men in the Czech Republic, was probably also in the helicopter that crashed in Alaska on Saturday, the New York Times reports. The Airbus AS350 B3 helicopter crashed into the Knik glacier.

Five people were killed in the crash, including the helicopter pilot, the only survivor in critical condition.

Kellbes valued his fortune at $ 17.5 billion, which made him the richest man in the Czech Republic for a long time and reached the world top 100. Kellner also had Hungarian interests: in 2018 he bought Telenor Hungary, you can read our portrait written about him here.

The cause of the accident is still being investigated, and the only thing that is known at the moment is to make contact with the helicopter around ten at night.
