In the Center of Pest and in the II. In the 12th arrondissement, the number of one million florins per square meter of buildings is not enough for a street to enter the list of the ten most expensive, XII. district and the Buda Castle district is still sufficient for this. The apartments in Kossuth Square in Kispest were cheaper than in Hős Street. We have put in a table the 10-10 most expensive and cheapest streets of the 23 districts of Budapest.

The Central Statistical Office recently published its real estate database for 2019. It includes data from the real estate market of all the streets where at least three apartments or houses have been sold in a year. We calculated from national data in a previous article that we now have to work more for an apartment than in 2009, and that the difference between house prices and wages is growing more in Budapest.

This time we focus on the capital: we present the 10 most expensive streets and the 10 cheapest in the 23rd district.

Scroll down the table to find a list of the district that interests you.

The number of independent power editorial boards is steadily declining, and those that still exist are trying to stay afloat in a growing headwind. At HVG we persevere, we do not give in to pressure and we bring national and international news every day.

That is why we ask you, our readers, to support us, support us, join our membership and renew it.

And we promise to continue to do our best for you in all circumstances!

We calculate whether to work more for an apartment than in 2009

In 2009, calculated on the basis of average prices per square meter, a 60 square meter apartment came out of an average payment of 83 months, by 2019 it had increased to 89 months. Although the situation has improved in most of the country, you have to work almost two more years in Budapest for such an imaginary apartment. The situation of the poorest fifth of the country has deteriorated enormously.
