The prime minister recently graduated from the government meeting, from where he will travel to Brussels for the EU summit on Thursday.

Viktor Orbán appeared with a new video a few seconds after the government meeting on Wednesday. In this, the Prime Minister speaks for the first time that “the necessary decisions have been made to deal with the epidemic.” It will also be ready to leave for Brussels.

Background talks tonight, landing tomorrow morning “

The prime minister said in the video.

Orbán will travel to Brussels for the next EU summit, which will take place on Thursday and Friday. And where the dispute over the veto between the two Member States, Hungary and Poland, will certainly be an issue.

The interesting thing about the recording is that Orbán almost speaks of victory in it. Meanwhile, according to another development on Wednesday, the Hungarian and Polish governments are said to be ready to withdraw from the veto.

As is well known, the governments of Hungary and Poland have been blocking the interception of EU funds for weeks, due to the rule of law associated with payments. If it is damaged, a problem arises, the aid granted can be withdrawn from the Member States. The budget lockdown is also incomprehensible because it is an unprecedented EU budget package of € 1.8 billion, one of the biggest beneficiaries of which would be these two countries.

Negotiations on the issue have been ongoing for weeks, with Viktor Orbán, the Hungarian prime minister, and Mateusz Morawiecki, the Polish prime minister, most recently negotiating in Warsaw.

The European People’s Party is less and less concerned that Fidesz envisions its future outside or within the party family. Instead, the People’s Party is concerned about the future of the EU budgets, where, however, they will also run into the Hungarian Prime Minister. Fidesz wants to theme the dialogue, but cannot find partners.
