Among other things, the representation frame can be used for corporate gifts, as Zsuzsa Hegedűs did when she bought expensive wine and champagne.

The alcoholic beverages on the banknotes are corporate gifts, the Prime Minister’s Office told hvg.hu in response to DK’s announcement that Zsuzsa Hegedűs had spent, among other things, expensive luxury drinks of his representation, i.e. public money.

The concept of business gift is defined in Law CXVII of 1995 on Income Tax for Individuals. It is also known by law, recalls the Ministry, as a gift given in the context of commercial, official, professional, diplomatic or credit relationships related to the activities of the Ministry.

The Cabinet Office also draws attention to the fact that Zsuzsa Hegedűs can dedicate its representation to consumer goods and business gifts related to the reception of its guests. That is, it is not that you used this framework for private purposes.

DK filed a lawsuit in 2017 so that the public could find out what Zsuzsa Hegedűs, the Prime Minister’s Office for the Underprivileged, spends in the monthly average representation amount of HUF 136,000; the case was decided by the Curia in early October 2020. Invoices issued as a result of the decision revealed that Hegedűs paid HUF 35,990 for a bottle of Gabbiano Chianti quality Italian red wine and purchased French luxury champagne Veuve Clicquot four times, each for HUF 14,990.
