Due to the slowness of vaccination and the saturation of hospitals, it is necessary to reinforce it again in France

Today began a two-week shutdown in France after the number of patients treated in the intensive care unit exceeds five thousand. The current closing will take at least a month, after which possible relaxations will be discussed.

Starting Tuesday, French schools will switch to distance education again. Non-essential businesses should also be closed, as well as restricting the free movement of people, since no one can go more than 10 kilometers from where they live.

This time, however, the store lockdown is not as strict as it was last spring, for example. Hair salons, bookstores, florists, music stores, and car dealerships may remain open. In addition, the curfew will remain between 7:00 p.m. M. And 6:00 a. M.

Travel between regions is also severely restricted. You can only leave the county in which you live if you have a compelling reason to do so or if you have to go to work.

In France, an average of almost 40,000 new infections are recorded daily and the number of patients treated in the intensive care unit has already exceeded 5,000. Macron had previously promised to expand the number of hospital beds, emphasizing that they would work even harder to vaccinate as many people as possible.

The French president has promised that the vaccine will be available to anyone over 60 from April 16, and those over 50 will be able to get vaccinated from May 15.

However, the French vaccination program is progressing very slowly, in part due to faulty recruitment in Brussels. So far, 13.37 percent of the population has been vaccinated, while in Hungary this proportion is 23 percent.
