The Budavár municipality administration is filing a report due to dishonest treatment causing great financial disadvantage, as a total of HUF 500 million of the district was trapped in the Széchenyi Bank with a history of Fidesz, which filed for bankruptcy in 2014, the current deputy district mayor said.

Ferenc Gelencsér said with the bank Tamás Gábor Nagy the former mayor of Fidesz entered into a contract in complete secrecy after increasing the amount he could have decided from the previous one hundred million forints to five hundred million forints without the authorization of the representative body.

Neither the Board of Representatives nor the Finance Committee was aware of the money commitment, nor was it included in the 2013 financial statements.

According to the deputy mayor, in 2014, when it seemed that the bank was in trouble, the mayor did not save public property, but helped the financial institution. Tamás Gábor Nagy even wrote a letter about it Mihály Varga to the then Minister of National Economy, today to Finance, Gelencsér also quoted this at the press conference:

Breaking our bond and returning the tied money would trigger an avalanche that could cause panic. Trust in a bank known as state property can be shaken, and the consequences cannot be assumed.

The former mayor of Fidesz wrote.

Therefore, the Buda municipality is filing a complaint, and other opposition municipalities have been urged to verify whether the former mayor of Fidesz has placed money in the failed financial institution.

The timing for the disappearance of the money was accurately documented by the Deputy Mayor:
