The government has not agreed with one of the country’s largest senior organizations, the Retirement and Elderly Life Clubs, which brings together 1,000 clubs and 120,000 members, on the introduction of a retirement time zone, writes Népszava. According to the head of the organization, Éva Hegyesiné Orsós, for many it can be reassuring to have a time zone for shopping, which is believed to be more protected, but members of the national club network “Life for Years” would expect help much more serious government.

For example, many complain that public health due to the epidemic cannot adequately treat patients who do not suffer from covidity, more and more people need private care but cannot afford it. There would also be an urgent need for free immunostimulating vitamins, because after buying overhead and medicine and food, a fraction of retirees will have money for themselves.

The pension organization is currently organizing a fundraiser to provide members with vitamins across the country. The Béres Foundation will distribute Béres drops worth HUF 8 million in this round. Éva Orsós would also consider it essential that the government does not loot, but rather supports local governments so that they can expand their home care service, which many older people would very much need.
