By protecting several universities, the protesters form a lifeline that affects much of the city center between the University of Theater and Film Arts and Parliament. Abolition of autonomy
We have written about the situation around SZFE many times, the leaders, current and former students of the university have protested many times and in various ways against the tense transformation of the foundation. Concerns only escalated when it became clear that the government would appoint Attila Vidnyánszky, chairman of the new board of directors, who would not remain secret from September, without hiding his dislike for the institution. Subsequently, several key SZFE professors resigned.
It turned out that the board of trustees headed by Vidnyánszky abolished all essential elements of the autonomy of the SZFE, that is, the main decision-making body of the university.

The SZFE leadership resigned on August 31, and since then a demonstration has been organized practically every day in front of the institution’s building on Vas Street.
