Dark Secrets, Strange Stories from Legendary Playboy Village

[ad_1]

Playboy founder Hugh Hefner died three years ago, his former village now mainly home to film, photography, charity and other social events rather than wild sex parties and crowds with world stars. But what do you need to know about the legendary place besides the fact that once the sexiest women in the world gathered there? We have compiled some cool things.

one. The legendary Los Angeles estate was only Playboy’s second villa, which is why it was also named Playboy Mansion West. Hefner founded his newspaper in Chicago, where the first Playboy villa was located, which was later converted into an art school and transformed into a luxury residential park.

two. Back in 2016, a year before Hugh Hefner’s death, businessman Daren Metropoulos bought the (second) villa for $ 100 million, but the contract also said that Hefner didn’t have to move: he rented his old house for $ 1 million at month.

3. Not only Hefner, but also his current girlfriends lived in the villa, had their own room and a thousand dollars a week. Their numbers varied, but there was always a main bride who could sleep in Hefner’s room.

Four. The house was not famous for its cleanliness, nor was the change of bedding very frequent, which was only compounded by the fact that the beds were perhaps the least used for sleeping. Also, the rooms of the “girlfriends” had white carpets and the dogs used to do their thing with them.

5. Playboy Villa was one of the few private homes that had an official zoo permit. The main attraction was a huge cage with a hundred squirrel monkeys running around, but Hefner’s real favorites were the birds, so many peacocks, parrots, toucans and ducks could be found in the garden.

6. Hefner was also unique in that he was the only individual in Los Angeles to get permission to host fireworks, so the 4th of July celebrations were always very spectacular in his garden.

7. There was a secret room called the Elvis Room, legend has it that Elvis Presley himself spent a hectic night there, in the company of eight bunnies.

8. Hefner might not have a high opinion of another famous guest, John Lennon, but their meeting must have been memorable nonetheless. The Playboy owner was a great art collector, but Lennon became hostile to many artifacts and allegedly pressed his cigarette onto an original Matisse.

9. Hefner always compiled the party guest list himself, and he was very picky about it. Luke Wilson was once evicted from his property for eighteen months because the actor lied to an employee that he was there with his brother, Owen, even though Major Wilson wasn’t even present.

10. Hefner also took movie screenings seriously, with a narrow circle of friends compiling a show that also promised cinematic delight. Mike Tyson fell asleep once during a movie and was never called to the screen again.
