Searching for drugs, the police found dangerous exotic animals in a house in Dunaharaszti. The police immediately took steps to transport the animals to the Budapest Zoo and Botanical Garden.
A 41-year-old resident of the house was questioned as a suspect in the case, who could not credibly prove the origin of the animals, saying in his confession that he was aware of their dangerousness and that their possession was subject to a permit, but did not broach the subject. The Investigation Department of the Szigetszentmiklós Police Headquarters will continue the criminal proceedings against the man from Dunaharaszti for alleged violations of the obligation to possess drugs and breed dangerous animals, and will investigate whether other crimes have occurred in the case.
