As you know, The Hungarian Handball Association has ended the 2019-2020 season due to the coronavirus epidemic, and takes into account the results of the last season in relation to the start of the international cup. Based on this, Csurgó could participate in the EHF Cup, but the club offered it to Gyöngyös, who beat him to and fro in the 2019-2020 season and was third in the table in the takedown. and gives his players a symbolic bronze medal. Mr. President, dear friends of sport!
First of all, we would like to say that we fully agree with the decision of the Hungarian Handball Association, due to the health crisis, regarding the closure of the 2019/2020 championship.
We are convinced that the Alliance has made the only good decision with termination.
As for the way to end, a good decision is not possible, but perhaps it is the least bad.
We are aware that this also causes damage to interests (in the masculine field, for example, to you), but we believe that any other method would have generated more controversy.
A significant portion of the teams, including us, would have had a chance to earn another 18 points, not to mention the drawbacks or drawbacks.
We would also like to say that the Csurgó Handball Club will be delighted to participate in the international cups next year, perhaps based on the EHF Cup from previous years (we have managed to play 26 games in five seasons, in which we have won 17 victories, including Hannover, Ademar Leon, SC Magdeburg, Constanta or more recently USAM Nimes) would not be unworthy.
At the same time, we recognize that this season, although we also defeated Tatabánya or Balatonfüred, you beat us from one side to the other (which only Szeged can tell about you apart from you), that is, you were better than us.
Based on this and taking into account that from the open letters sent to MKSZ, it seems that you would definitely like to start in the international cup, so, if approved by the Association and not by the EHF opposition, we offer you the right to start and the associate Any additional support.
We see that there is a legal possibility for this, as you finished sixth behind us last season.
We believe that the most important thing at the moment is to beat the virus as soon as possible and with the least possible loss, and therefore do everything possible.
